I haven't been able to do much nature photography lately but when I saw these massive storms approaching close to my house I decided to grab my camera and see if I could get some lightning photos. I'm sure glad I did!

What makes the photo above better than the other lightning shots I took from the same spot is the lit up foreground, a massive bolt slammed the electric tower that I was parked under and completely illuminated the foreground, making the shot look like it was taken during the day, or at least with some ambient light.

The bolt that doesn’t touch the ground is actually a "feeler" from the bolt that hit the tower.
